Registration
Regalia Rentals
Faculty regalia rental forms can be obtained by registering . Regalia request forms are due to the UGA Bookstore by October 20. Requests submitted after that date are not guaranteed and may incur a personal rush fee of $20 or more. The University will cover the cost of Regalia rental only for faculty who are attending one of the UGA institutional commencement ceremonies (Undergrad, Master’s, Specialist, Doctoral in Stegeman Coliseum) and will not pay for regalia for faculty only attending a college convocation.
Undergraduate Ceremony
Participation
If you wish to participate in the undergraduate ceremony, please register by October 23.
Marshals
Faculty representing their school or college as student marshals at the undergraduate commencement ceremony will receive communication from the Office of the Registrar concerning their role in commencement, including the date and time of a marshals’ meeting to provide an overview of the ceremony. If you have questions about serving as an undergraduate marshal, please email Adam Lawrence in the Office of the Registrar at adamlaw@uga.edu
Parking
Parking is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Use the registration link above to request a parking pass.
Undergraduate Processional Arrival and Entry
Please arrive at the Stegeman Coliseum Tunnel 2 Conference Room no later than 8:45 a.m. Gates open at 8:00 a.m. A light continental breakfast will be provided before the ceremony, starting at 8:00 a.m.
Processional Lineup will begin at 9:55 a.m.
Security
Weapons are not allowed inside Stegeman Coliseum. A weapons detection system has been implemented at Stegeman Coliseum for all events to help enhance safety at the venue. Each guest, processional faculty, and graduate will be required to pass through the system prior to entering the Coliseum. We encourage you to arrive early to allow time for a smoother entry process. See the commencement website for items that could lead to further screening and delay your entry.
Faculty Entrance
Processing faculty should enter Gate D or Gate E as these are closest to the stairs leading down to the Tunnel 2 Conference Room. Please look for the sign directing faculty down the stairs.

Graduate Ceremony
Participation
If you wish to participate in the graduate ceremony processional, volunteer as a marshal or you are hooding a student, please register (Link to Registration section) by October 23.
Marshals
Faculty serving as marshals in the graduate commencement ceremony will receive communication from the Graduate School concerning their role in commencement, including the date and time of a marshals’ meeting that will provide an overview of the ceremony. Graduate Processional Assembly
Doctoral, Master’s, and Specialist Commencement
The combined Doctoral, Master’s, and Specialist Commencement ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m. in Stegeman Coliseum.
Gates open at 1:30 p.m.
THERE ARE TWO FACULTY ROLES DURING THE CEREMONY. PLEASE READ ENTRY INFORMATION BELOW CLOSELY AS THE INSTRUCTIONS DIFFER DEPENDING ON THE ROLE FOR WHICH YOU REGISTERED.
Arrival & Entry
Hooding Faculty – only (Please communicate with your student prior to the ceremony)
Please enter via the Graduate Student Entrance on Smith Street directly across from the Carlton St Parking Deck. Please look for this signage at the exterior entrance. You will line up with your student in the Basketball Practice Gym on the second floor. Arrive no later than 12:45 pm. Please see the attached graduate ceremony entry map for reference.

Processional Faculty – only (These are faculty who are NOT hooding a student)
You may enter any gate, but Gate D and Gate E are the closest to the two staircases leading down to the Tunnel 2 conference room. Please look for the sign depicted below, located closest to Gate D and Gate E inside the concourse.Please arrive at the Stegeman Coliseum Tunnel 2 Conference Room no later than 1:45 p.m. A light snack will be provided before the ceremony. Gates will open at 1:30 p.m.

Attire
Please bring your regalia with you. Hanging racks will be provided, and you will be directed when to dress for the ceremony.
Parking
If you requested a parking pass, you will receive a parking pass at the address you provided on the registration form.
Road Closure Information: Please be advised that there will be a road closure in front of Stegeman Coliseum to allow for pedestrian traffic only.Keep in mind that there will be substantial traffic due to the many events on campus, so please plan accordingly.
